Celebration Concert

This special concert marks 125 years since the opening of the auditorium at the Nelson Centre of Musical Arts, celebrating the music that continues to fill the building today.

The programme brings together some of the region’s leading ensembles and musicians, including performers from the Nelson Civic Choir, Nelson Symphony Orchestra, Chroma Choir, Nelson Youth Choir and NCMA’s youth string ensemble Schola Musica. Alongside these larger groups, the evening will also feature chamber performances from musicians who regularly rehearse and perform at the centre.

This event celebrates the many musicians and community groups who make NCMA such a vital part of Nelson’s cultural life. Audience members are warmly invited to support the Centre on the night, helping ensure this historic venue continues to serve future generations of musicians.
