Bridget Douglas & Michael Tsalka

Bridget is Section Principal Flute of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and an artist-teacher in flute at the New Zealand School of Music – Te Kōkī. Bridget graduated from Victoria and Otago Universities before travelling to the USA for postgraduate study with the assistance of a Fulbright Graduate Award. 

Michael Tsalka is currently serving as an Assistant Professor and a Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Music, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. As a concert pianist and early keyboard performer, he has won numerous prizes in Europe, Asia, North America, and Latin America. He is a versatile musician who performs repertoire from the late Renaissance era to our days.

This concert is the last of 5 concerts to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Nelson Centre of Musical Arts.
