Description
The Hawke's Bay Community Orchestra was formed in 2015 and is one of the three orchestras run by the Hawke's Bay Orchestral Society. It is aimed at adult players who are getting back to playing orchestral instruments, taking up a second instrument, or starting from scratch. Rehearsals are held at St Peter's church in Hastings on Saturday mornings. The orchestra, which has grown in size this year to include string, woodwind, brass and percussion players, rehearse a range of music from classical to more contemporary arrangements. All adult musicians are welcome to come along and join us. Our mission statement is ‘A group of orchestral musicians who gather to enjoy making music together.
